Purpose of the role:
Assist with managing Chinese-language social media content by providing high-quality, timely translation of Nature Portfolio materials. Support commercial projects by translating English-language content we create for clients and helping with creating Chinese-language content for promotion on our platform. Assist with other translation work in the company to promote Nature Portfolio content, publications, products and services to Chinese audience.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in science and engineering fields, particularly physical sciences
2. English translation certificates preferred
Skills/knowledge:
1. Strong translation skills, particularly English-Chinese translation
2. Knowledge backgrounds in science and technology, particularly engineering and physical sciences
3. Project management skills preferred
4. Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as translation software
5. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and capable to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good team player
Experience:
1. Proven track record of performing English-Chinese translation of science and technology materials is a must, experience in Chinese-English translation also desired
2. Experience of science communication or writing science-related news preferred
3. Established contacts with freelance translators is desirable
4. Experience in project coordination preferred
5. Having worked on digital marketing or with mobile platforms is a plus

Purpose of the role:
To generate sales revenue from corporate clients in healthcare industry for Nature Research commercial team in China. Fundamental to this role is from leads generation to the development of productive and long-term external corporate client relationships.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate qualification in science, medicine and marketing (or equivalent relevant professional experience)
Skills/knowledge:
1. Strong commercial drive alongside proven experience in leads generation and maximising revenue potential and business development
2. A thorough understanding of the scientific research community and its needs and aspirations
3. Ability to develop needs and value-based proposals of NRG products and solutions for clients
4. Positive ability to develop long-term professional relationships with key members of the scientific community
5. Sound knowledge and interest in science
6. Strong interpersonal and influential communication skills, with effective negotiation and presentation skills
7. Highly self-motivated, resourceful and achievement oriented
8. A creative approach to problem-solving
Experience:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, constructive team player who has demonstrated the ability to work successfully within a complex organization. He/she should have a proven track record with experience in developing new deals for advertising and/or sponsorship sales, selling to senior level executives at pharmaceutical companies.
1. At least 3 years’ experience working in professional services, and/or science communication/publishing companies with strong experience in business development/sales in healthcare industry
2. Experience of consultative selling and corporate key account management
3. Proven capability of solution selling and achieving sales target
4. Knowledge and resources of relevant industries are highly preferred
